The days of needing a remote control for each device are over. The Logitech 915-000162 Harmony 700 Rechargeable Remote makes it easy to control a whole number of devices including televisions, dvds and music players.
The Harmony 700 is rechargeable. Just plug it into the computer via USB cable and it 
charges. A low battery light will appear when it is time to recharge, and it averages about one charge per week. It also turns itself off when not in use, and wakes up when moved.
The Harmony 700 is incredibly easy to set up, just plug it into the computer, give the program the model number of the devices you are going to use and assign them to the remote. It can operate up to six devices and even has a color screen to see exactly what you are doing, even in the dark.
